NOVA-3b gamma (γ) and X-ray dosimeter and radiation detector is an energy-compensated pocket device that is designed to monitor and measure dose equivalent and dose equivalent rate from both γ and X-ray radiation. It can be used for radiation surveys or to detect real-time radiation, or monitor longer-time personnel radiation exposure in potentially hazardous environments such as hospitals, nuclear power plants, oil and gas industry etc.

NOVA-3b is highly sensitive and reacts rapidly to changes in the background radiation. The dose equivalent and dose equivalent rate with corresponding time and date are displayed on the device’s LCD display. A silent and/or audible alarm alerts the user if the radiation dose or rate exceeds the programmable threshold level. An additional alarm indicates if the device battery is running low.

The measured data is stored in the device memory and can be transferred to a computer via Bluetooth interface. Data can be viewed as tables or graphs. Up to 4 individual users are supported by NOVA-3b; in the case of multiple users the data is displayed individually per user.
