PM-1 is a dynamic penetrometer that can be used to effectively and easily evaluate the fine particle soil density.

The penetrometer is durable and easy to use. To perform the measurement, the conical tip of the penetrometer is pounded into the ground by dropping the falling weight of the device. A table is provided that correlates the number of the weight drops to the compaction coefficient.
