Clacker type blasting machine PONGO

Clacker type blasting machine PONGO

PONGO is a blasting device determined for guaranteed firing of at least two Class 1 sensitivity detonators with up to a 120 m  long and 1 square millimetre cross-sectional trunk circuit copper cable. The total blasting line resistance, e.g. including detonators, trunk circuit cable and any resistance of the electrical connections should not exceed 11 ohms.

The electric pulse for detonator blasting is generated electromechanically. The whole mechanism is placed into the cylindrical plastic case. On lower end of the case there are the terminals for connecting the machine with the detonator line. On upper end there is the pressure button.

For storage the blasting device is cocked, e.g. the pressure button is locked by the splint. By taking off the splint and pressing the pressure button down the electric pulse necessary for detonator blasting will  be  generated.  If  needed  the machine maybe cocked again by pulling the pressure button out.

Warning!

When cocking the device, a small electrical pulse is also generated. Make sure to disconnect trunk cable from the blasting device PONGO before cocking it to avoid any unwanted firing.

If used properly PONGO may be used for firing of up to 100 times or more. The device can be cocked again and again by pulling the button up to the fixed position.

The machine cannot be opened or repaired. Although, if kept in the original hermetic plastic bag and not used the blasting machine reserves its working capability at least for 10 years.
